We are supporting our client in the unmanned aerial systems industry in their search for a Senior Integration & Test Engineer.
The role
We are looking for a Senior Integration & Test Engineer to lead the integration, verification and validation of complex autonomous aerial systems.
The role combines system integration, root-cause analysis, test planning, flight readiness, technical release and operational support.
Key Responsibilities
Translate operational requirements and field issues into system requirements, acceptance criteria and validation plans.Integrate avionics, radios, sensors, payloads, PNT, edge computers, mission software and ground equipment.Maintain system architecture, interfaces, wiring, networking and configuration documentation.Investigate and resolve issues across multiple systems and interfaces.Build and use integration rigs, HIL environments and instrumented test platforms.Prepare test procedures, flight-readiness evidence, contingency actions and technical go/no-go recommendations.Analyse test data, manage anomalies and verify corrective actions against acceptance criteria.Produce technical release documentation, installation instructions, operational limitations and rollback procedures.
What you bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Software Engineering, or equivalent.5+ years of experience in systems integration, verification, validation and flight testing.Experience taking complex systems from investigation and root-cause analysis through validation, release and operational use.Practical experience with aerospace or autonomous systems.Working knowledge of PX4, MAVLink and flight controllers.Hands-on skills in scripting, configuration, log analysis, test equipment and field troubleshooting.Experience with HIL, SIL, telemetry replay, test automation or fault injection is beneficial.Strong analytical, technical writing and problem-solving skills.
