Full Stack Developer

EMJ Exclusive is looking for a Full Stack Developer to help build and develop the technology behind our luxury concierge and lifestyle-management business. You will work across three connected areas: Our bespoke CRMAn AI-powered research platformA large-scale customer data and business-intelligence projectThe role combines frontend and backend development, database engineering, third-party integrations, AI tooling and production infrastructure. What You'll be Doing: Working in a small team and the wider business, you will take features from initial requirements through to implementation, testing, deployment and ongoing optimisation. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, understands how systems fit together, and values performance, reliability and maintainable code. You’ll work closely alongside our Head of Systems & Tech to build and improve the technology that supports EMJ, with real ownership over new features, integrations, infrastructure and the ongoing development of our internal platforms. Requirements: Frontend Strong commercial experience with TypeScript, React and Next.js, alongside HTML and CSS. Confident building responsive, accessible interfaces, reusable components and data-heavy views, with experience in state management and data fetching.Backend Practical experience with Node.js and Python, including REST APIs, asynchronous programming, background processing and third-party integrations.Understanding of secure authentication, authorisation, OAuth and webhooks.Databases and data Strong PostgreSQL and SQL skills, covering data modelling, indexing, migrations, query optimisation and efficient processing of large datasets. Experience with Redis, caching and ORMs or query builders.Cloud and infrastructure Hands-on experience deploying and supporting applications on AWS, including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC and CloudWatch. Strong understanding of networking, security, monitoring, backups and production environment management.Containers and deployment Experience with Docker, Docker Compose and Linux, including environment configuration, container networking and persistent storage. Comfortable with Bash, SSH, HTTPS and reverse proxies.Engineering and delivery Proficient with Git, GitHub and CI/CD workflows such as GitHub Actions. Experience with code reviews, automated testing, build pipelines, secrets management, safe database migrations and rollback procedure.
