Senior TypeScript AI Engineer Client & Product Our client is a Series A B2B SaaS company building an AI-powered knowledge and workflow assistant for mid-sized professional services firms. The platform lets teams query internal documents, automate routine reporting and trigger actions across their existing tools through a conversational interface. They are looking for a Senior TypeScript AI Engineer or product-focused Full-Stack Developer to design and ship LLM-powered features across their Next.js application and supporting backend services. Responsibilities Build and maintain AI-driven features using TypeScript, Next.js and Node.jsDesign and implement LLM workflows using LangChain, the Vercel AI SDK and the OpenAI APIBuild retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, including chunking, embeddings and vector searchDevelop streaming chat interfaces and agentic, tool-calling workflowsIntegrate third-party APIs, SDKs and webhooksMonitor and improve output quality through evaluation, prompt iteration and observability tooling Requirements 5+ years of software development experienceStrong TypeScript and Next.js experience (App Router, server components, API routes)Hands-on experience shipping LLM features to production using OpenAI or similar model APIsExperience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, the Vercel AI SDK or comparable AI frameworksUnderstanding of RAG, embeddings and vector databases such as pgvector, Pinecone or WeaviateExperience with REST APIs and PostgreSQLExperience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Copilot or Claude CodeAbility to work independently with minimal supervision Nice to Have Experience with LLM evaluation and tracing tools such as LangSmith, Langfuse or BraintrustMulti-agent or function-calling architecturesPrisma or Drizzle ORMBackground-job tools such as BullMQ, Inngest or Trigger.devDocker and cloud deployment experience (AWS, Vercel or GCP) Conditions Freelance/B2B contractRemote workCET working hours
