Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 from home
The opportunity
An established MEP design consultancy serving Greater Boston is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer.
You'd own complex electrical design on data center, healthcare and life sciences projects.
You'd also mentor the team and lead client-facing delivery.
The firm offers a clear route to Associate or Principal.
What you'll do
Lead electrical design from concept through construction administration, covering power distribution, emergency and standby power, lighting and low-voltage systemsWork closely with the mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and structural teams to deliver fully coordinated MEP packagesOwn client relationships and present design recommendations to owners, architects and contractorsReview and stamp construction documents, specifications and calculationsMentor junior and mid-level engineers on technical standards and best practiceStay current on critical-facility codes: NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 99, NFPA 110 and Massachusetts amendments
What you'll bring
BS in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline7+ years in MEP or building systems consultingHands-on design experience in mission critical, healthcare and/or life sciences facilitiesStrong command of power distribution, UPS and generator sizing, and redundancy/resiliency design (N+1, 2N)Understanding of electrical requirements for cleanrooms, labs and process spacesProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and SKM or ETAPWorking knowledge of NEC, NFPA 99/110, IEEE standards and Massachusetts codeConfidence presenting to clients and cross-disciplinary teamsBased in the Boston area, or willing to relocate
Nice to have
PE license (or close to sitting)LEED accreditationExperience with commissioning, arc flash studies or BAS/controls integrationA track record as project lead or supervising junior engineers
