Azure DevOps Engineer

Azure DevOps Engineer opportunity available with a FTSE 100 real estate investment and development organisation that owns, develops, and manages a significant portfolio of commercial properties across the UK and Europe. Reporting directly to the Azure Cloud Architect, you'll join the Cloud Infrastructure team in a hands-on role that combines project delivery with BAU support. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the design, development, and ongoing evolution of the organisation's Azure cloud estate. Location: Hybrid Working Typically 1-2 days per week onsiteUp to 3 days per week when required by project demandsSplit between Slough and Piccadilly, LondonRate: £600-£650 per day Inside IR35 Contract: Initial contract until the end of 2026, with further extensions highly likely THE ROLE You'll split your time between BAU support and project work, contributing directly to the design of the Azure cloud infrastructure alongside delivery of day-to-day operational reliability. Key responsibilities include: Contribute to the design and evolution of Azure cloud infrastructure, applying enterprise-grade security principles from the outsetBuild and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and YAML pipelines within Azure DevOpsDeploy, manage and troubleshoot containerised workloadsBalance project delivery with ongoing support, troubleshooting and operational improvementsWork closely with business project teams and external technical partners across a multinational, multicultural environmentKEY TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE Extensive experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure (networking, compute, storage and platform services)Extensive experience with Terraform and YAML pipeline development within Azure DevOpsExtensive experience with Kubernetes (AKS)Red Hat OpenShift knowledge desirableSolid grasp of applying security controls (identity, access and encryption) during infrastructure design, not just afterComfortable working independently and as part of a small, close-knit team, adaptable to shifting priorities between support and project workPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Excellent communicator, confident engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders internationallyAdaptable and collaborative, quick to integrate into an existing team's ways of workingIf this opportunity is of interest, please send me an updated copy of your CV by tomorrow at the latest.
