Web Development Manager (PHP, Laravel) West London (Hybrid: 1 day on site per week) £60-70k + Excellent benefits About the role: As Web Development Leader, you will be responsible for full lifecycle web app delivery, leading a team based both in the UK and offshore, and you will also lead on architecture planning for a Laravel based ecommerce platform, encompassing cloud/DevOps technology. The primary emphasis of the role is leadership coupled with interpreting the needs of the business, bringing a commercial awareness to all development engineering and processes across a private equity backed organisation. This role was created due to internal promotion and opportunities to expand the remit of the role will occur as the organisation expands in the next few years. About you: To ensure your success, you will have skills and experience in the following: Team Leadership and mentoring: Set the technical direction and inspire a team of c. 10 developers, mentoring, upskilling and e.g. Chairing code reviews with your development team.A software development lead/development manager of proven experience, with a desire to expand and grow your expertise as the organisation and your role expands.Technical expertise: Development leadership across web development technologies, in particular Laravel, PHP, and API development. Also nice to have: Debian Linux, DevOps, Data Warehousing.Technical leadership of systems design and planning (inc. Architecture of services and e.g. Cloud migration, Integration of acquired organisations onto centralised platforms).Own and deliver Testing (from TDD to BAU).Nice to have: Experience of building teams as a development leaderPayments integrations experience (Stripe, PayPal etc)Prior onshoring experienceDebian Linux, DevOps, Data Warehousing.
