Job Title: IAM Engineer – Java Developer
Location: Glasgow
Job Description:
Hands-on experience with Java development, including troubleshooting, debugging, code enhancements, API/integration development, and working with enterprise Java applications.Experience supporting IAM/Directory Services platforms, preferably PingDS (ForgeRock DS), including migration, upgrade, configuration, deployment, and production support.Experience developing or maintaining PingDS plugins/extensions, custom integrations, or Java-based directory services components is a strong plus.Working knowledge of Linux/RHEL, including filesystem, permissions, processes, services, networking fundamentals, log analysis, and performance troubleshooting.Proficiency with Linux shell scripting (Bash or equivalent) and automation of deployment, migration, validation, and operational activities.Familiarity with LDAP/LDAPS, directory services concepts, replication, schemas, certificates/TLS, REST APIs, JSON, and IAM security fundamentals.Experience with modern development practices and tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, Maven/Gradle, testing frameworks, code reviews, and secure coding practices.Basic understanding of AI/GenAI concepts and practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or equivalent) for code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting, with appropriate validation and secure-use practices.C/C++ experience will be a plus.
