About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java-Entwickler (m/w/d) to join our dynamic team in Nürnberg. In this strategic role, you will play a pivotal part in the modernization of our core systems within the general insurance sector. Your expertise will be instrumental in the phased replacement of our existing policy management system and in shaping the technological future of our application landscape. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement a new Java-based policy management system, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Your responsibilities will span the entire software development lifecycle, from initial conception to deployment and ongoing maintenance. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in backend development with extensive experience in Java applications. A solid understanding of software architecture, development frameworks, and system integration is essential. You should have a passion for software development, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. A completed vocational training as a Fachinformatiker/in, a university degree in computer science, or an equivalent qualification is required. Responsibilities Support the strategic migration of our existing policy management system within the general insurance domain, actively contributing to the technological realignment of our application landscape.Lead the integration of a new Java-based policy management system, providing expertise in architecture, development, and technical conception to ensure smooth implementation.Independently resolve technical challenges during the decommissioning of legacy software and the integration of new solutions, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.Take responsibility across all phases of software development, including conception, coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.Collaborate closely with business units, service providers, and IT operations within an agile framework, aligning tasks and objectives effectively.Contribute actively to shaping the technological future of the organization by proposing innovative solutions and improvements.
