Title: Automation Engineer (DevOps) Duration: Contract Location: Canary Wharf, London, UK We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer (DevOps) to join our fast-paced enterprise environment. In this role, you will be pivotal in building, maintaining, and scaling end-to-end automation and scripting solutions. While our infrastructure interfaces with diverse enterprise technologies, this position prioritizes deep Linux system administration expertise coupled with advanced Python and Ansible/Terraform automation capabilities. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end automation and scripting solutions using Python, Ansible, and Terraform (shell scripting and Perl experience are also strongly valued).Perform advanced Linux/Unix system administration, optimization, and command-line management within a large-scale enterprise environment.Infrastructure automation and integration experience using Perl, Python, and/or shell scripting languages, as well as Ansible or Terraform tools.A firm understanding of operating systems and networking concepts, including Linux/Unix system administration, TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, and other related protocols.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in a highly visible, fast-paced enterprise environment.Comfortable working with a Linux-based command line environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
