Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Software Architect to lead the design and evolution of our next-generation storage software platform. In this strategic role you will define system architecture, drive technology decisions, and collaborate closely with engineering, product management, validation, and leadership teams. You will play a key role in shaping scalable, high-performance, and reliable software solutions across operating systems, drivers, firmware, storage stacks, and hardware-software integration layers. What You’ll Do: Define and own the architecture of system software solutions across the product portfolioDrive technical strategy and long-term architectural roadmapsDesign scalable, high-performance, and resilient storage software systemsLead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teamsCollaborate with software, firmware, hardware, validation, and DevOps teams to ensure end-to-end system design consistencyEvaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and architectural approachesDefine software frameworks, design patterns, and engineering best practicesGuide system performance optimization, scalability, security, and reliability initiativesSupport complex root cause analysis and resolution of critical system-level issuesMentor senior engineers and contribute to the growth of engineering talent across the organizationPartner with product management and customers to translate business requirements into technical solutions Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of experience in system software development, with significant architectural responsibilitiesExpert-level knowledge of C and/or C++Strong understanding of operating systems architecture, kernel concepts, memory management, concurrency, and virtualization technologiesProven experience designing large-scale, complex software systemsDeep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and system integrationExperience with Linux, Windows, and/or UEFI environmentsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management capabilitiesAbility to influence technical direction across multiple teams and disciplines Preferred Qualifications Experience in enterprise storage technologies, RAID solutions, NVMe, PCIe, or distributed storage architecturesKnowledge of firmware, drivers, and hardware-software co-designExperience with performance engineering and system optimizationFamiliarity with virtualization platformsExperience leading cross-functional technical programs in a global environmentUnderstanding of security architecture and reliability engineering principlesExperience working in Agile development environments Why Join Us Shape the future of our technology – help define the architecture behind industry-leading storage products.
