The Opportunity
A fast-growing international technology business is expanding its European operations and is looking for a Solutions / Presales Engineer to join its team in the Netherlands.
This is an opportunity to take real ownership of the technical side of complex EV charging and energy infrastructure projects, from early customer conversations and feasibility through to grid connection, delivery and commissioning.
You’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, customers and commercial teams, turning complex electrical and grid requirements into solutions that can actually be delivered.
You’ll also work closely with EPCs, installers, Dutch DSOs/netbeheerders and international engineering teams, giving you exposure to some of the most interesting projects across the European charging and energy market.
What You’ll Be Doing
Take the technical lead on customer opportunities alongside the commercial teamDesign practical solutions around customer, site and grid requirementsDevelop technical concepts, configurations, SLDs, site layouts and feasibility studiesSupport opportunities from initial concept through to delivery and commissioningWork directly with customers, EPCs, installers and Dutch DSOs/netbeheerdersSupport grid connection activities through feasibility, approval and energisationIdentify technical risks and work with stakeholders to find solutionsCoordinate customers, partners and internal engineering teamsSupport technical proposals, tenders and documentationFeed real-world customer and project insight back into product and engineering teams
What We’re Looking For
We’re open to candidates from engineering, technical, solutions, presales or project-based backgrounds.
EV charging or energy experience is useful, but not essential.
Degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy or similar5+ years’ experience in a technical, engineering, project or infrastructure roleGood understanding of electrical systems or technical infrastructureStrong customer-facing, communication and problem-solving skillsComfortable working with technical drawings, specifications and documentationAbility to translate technical requirements into practical solutionsExperience in EV charging, energy, renewables, utilities or other technical infrastructure is advantageousDutch and English fluentRight to work in the NetherlandsWillingness to travel across the Netherlands and occasionally wider Europe
