Key Responsibilities
Define and own the overall architecture of the product, ensuring scalability, security, and high availabilityDesign system components and integrations across services, applications, and infrastructure (with a strong focus on Azure cloud)Drive architectural decisions and establish technical standards, design principles, and engineering best practices across development teams.Set technical direction and best practices for development teams, balancing innovation with long-term maintainabilityCollaborate closely with engineering leadership, product managers, and DevOps to align architecture with business and operational needsEvaluate and select technologies, frameworks, and tools that best fit the platform strategy and requirementsMentor and coach developers and senior engineers, raising the overall technical bar of the teamConduct architectural, design, and code reviews, ensuring compliance with standards and governanceAct as a subject-matter expert on backend design patterns, security, and cloud-native principles
Key Qualifications
8+ years of professional software development experience, including several years in software architecture or technical leadership roles.Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise applications using C# and the .NET ecosystemStrong expertise in software architecture, including layered, domain-driven, event-driven, and microservices architectures.Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure services, including PaaS, IaaS, networking, identity, monitoring, and cloud-native design patterns.Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, including database design, performance tuning, indexing, and data security.Experience with distributed messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Redis, or similar platforms.Strong understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous communication, integration patterns, and distributed systems.Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment.Proven experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices.Solid understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure software development practices.Experience with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and performance optimizationStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound architectural decisions.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction across multiple development teams.Experience working in Agile software development environments.
