Can you imagine a world without music? Neither can we. Key Details The Salesforce Application Support Developer is a key member of the Salesforce Application Support Team at PPL PRS. This role enhances our support capability by embedding Salesforce development expertise directly within the support function. The role focuses on enhancements, configuration changes, minor bug fixes, and technical improvements to the Salesforce platform, while acting as a technical escalation point for the wider Application Support Team. The role also serves as a buffer between Application Support and the Internal Development Team, ensuring issues are triaged, stabilised, and well-defined before being escalated into larger development backlogs. This position is ideal for a hands-on Salesforce developer who enjoys working close to operational teams, resolving issues pragmatically, and improving system usability and reliability What you will be doing Salesforce Enhancements & Fixes Deliver minor enhancements, configuration changes, and bug fixes within SalesforceDevelop and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Flows, and Lightning componentsConfigure and maintain Salesforce features, including custom objects, fields, validation rules, page layouts, approval processes, and installed packagesEnsure fixes and enhancements follow agreed change control, testing, and deployment processes Application Support & Escalation Act as a technical point of escalation for the Salesforce Application Support TeamAssist with investigation and root cause analysis of recurring or complex incidentsDetermine when issues can be resolved within support vs escalated to the Internal Development TeamImprove issue definitions and technical clarity before escalation to reduce reworkProvide clear technical assessment and recommendations when escalating to the Internal Development Team Integration & Platform Support Support and troubleshoot integrations between Salesforce and third-party systemsTroubleshoot and resolve integration-related incidentsProvide hands-on support for Jitterbit integrations, including investigation and remediation of failuresCollaborate with vendors and internal teams as required Collaboration & Documentation Work closely with Salesforce administrators and developers to resolve issues efficientlyDocument fixes, enhancements, and known issues using JIRA and ConfluenceTranslate support issues into well-defined technical tasks or user stories that clearly define acceptance criteriaShare technical knowledge with the support team to raise overall capability Continuous Improvement Identify recurring issues and recommend preventative improvementsContribute ideas to improve support tooling, monitoring, and operational stabilityRemain current with Salesforce updates, features, and recommended practices You will have Essential 3+ years’ experience working on the Salesforce platformHands-on experience with Salesforce configuration and development, including:ApexFlowsVisualforce and/or Lightning Web ComponentsExperience supporting or maintaining Salesforce integrations (API or middleware-based)Experience working within support, BAU, or operational environmentsExperience troubleshooting and fixing issues in production systemsSalesforce Platform Developer I (strongly preferred) and ideally Platform Developer II, or equivalent experience and willingness to certify.Familiarity with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience CloudExperience working with Agile or structured change management processes Desirable Experience with Jitterbit (highly desirable)Experience supporting platforms such as Certinia (FinancialForce), CPQ, Vonage, Pardot, Conga, Gearset, or OwnBackupExperience working in a support‑led or BAU development environmentAdditional Salesforce certifications (e.g. Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, App Builder, Omnistudio)
