Description
We are hiring a Full-Stack Java Engineer for a large-scale FinTech technology program in Amsterdam focused on building highly scalable, customer-facing products.
You will develop backend services with Java and Spring Boot, build modern frontend applications with React.js, and work with microservices and distributed systems where scalability, reliability and performance are critical.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands – Hybrid, 2–3 days onsite per week – Relocation required if not based in the Amsterdam region
Tasks and Responsibilities
Build and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot;Develop modern customer-facing frontend applications using React.js;Design and build APIs and microservices;Develop clean, maintainable and well-tested software across the full stack;Contribute to system design, technical decisions and platform improvements;Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Architecture teams;Support deployments, monitoring and production operations;Contribute to continuous delivery, scalability, reliability and engineering best practices.
Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree;5+ / 10+ years of Java development experience;Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot;Commercial development experience with React.js;Experience designing and building microservices and distributed systems;Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases;Experience developing scalable, customer-facing applications;Understanding of scalable software architectures and strong software engineering fundamentals;Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across technical teams;Strong communication skills and the ability to demonstrate measurable project impact.Experience with Kafka, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker or GitLab CI/CD would be an advantage.
Experience supporting applications with 10,000+ users or working within FinTech, payments, banking or another regulated industry would also be beneficial.
