Our client, a well-established organisation, has instructed us to locate suitable candidates for the position of OpenShift Platform Engineer.
This role supports a new OpenShift environment, acting as the technical liaison with the vendor and ensuring their proposal aligns with internal security requirements.
It is a hands-on engineering role with vendor coordination.
Your scope
Serve as the primary technical point of contact with the platform vendor, reviewing and challenging their proposal to ensure alignment with security and operational needs.Engineer, maintain, and optimise the OpenShift/Kubernetes platform for stability, scalability, and performance.Build and manage CI/CD and GitOps pipelines, supporting progressive deployment and rollback strategies.Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting to maintain visibility and pre-empt issues.Perform platform hardening, patching, and image vulnerability management in coordination with internal security teams.Support development teams on integration and releases, and lead incident response, root cause analysis, and reporting.
Your Credentials
Degree or higher diploma in IT, computer science, or a related field.5+ years in SRE/DevOps, with hands-on OpenShift essential and strong Kubernetes troubleshooting.Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, Terraform, and networking concepts like NGINX.Proficiency in Bash or Python; exposure to databases, Windows/Linux, virtualisation, and container technologies.Security awareness and familiarity with compliance; RHCE, MCSE, or ISO 27001 advantageous.Strong collaboration and communication in English and Chinese; available for night/on-call work.
