About The Role The Opportunity: ISR Recruitment is working with a leading global software organization to recruit an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join its Product & Engineering team. This is a key opportunity for an experienced software engineer to work on the development of a next-generation B2B SaaS platform, helping shape the architecture, engineering standards, and continued evolution of a highly scalable, secure, and multi-tenant product used by organizations around the world. We are particularly interested in engineers who have a strong track record delivering B2B SaaS products, have experience working within multi-tenant SaaS environments, and have built their careers around a consistent and stable progression through senior engineering roles. Qualifications 8+ years' commercial software engineering experience, with significant expertise in backend development.Proven experience delivering B2B SaaS products in a commercial environment.Extensive experience working with multi-tenant SaaS platforms.A strong and demonstrable track record of career stability and sustained tenure within engineering environments.Excellent hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, and modern .NET frameworks, ideally .NET 8 and/or .NET 10.Experience designing, building, and delivering production software on the Microsoft technology stack.Strong experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.Experience working with relational databases and SQL.Experience building and deploying cloud-based applications, ideally using Microsoft Azure. Responsibilities As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a leading role in the design and development of the organization’s cloud-native SaaS platform. Design, build, and maintain backend services, APIs, and reusable libraries to support the platform’s functionality.Develop high-quality, clean, and testable code using C# and modern .NET technologies.Contribute to architectural decisions and help evolve a scalable, secure, and resilient multi-tenant SaaS platform.Design and develop RESTful APIs and services consumed by web and mobile clients.Build event-driven and asynchronous components using technologies such as Azure Service Bus.Work with relational databases to develop efficient SQL queries and database schemas.Build and deploy cloud-based applications, primarily within Microsoft Azure environment.Participate in automated testing, code reviews, and adhere to engineering best practices.Support continuous improvement, refactoring, and performance optimization initiatives.Collaborate within an Agile Product & Engineering environment to ensure timely delivery of features.Translate functional and technical requirements into robust, production-ready software solutions.Mentor and support other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Benefits This role offers a competitive salary package ranging from approximately £60,000 to £80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
