Senior DevOps Engineer

Senior DevOps Engineer (On-Prem & Cloud-Native) London (Hybrid) Salary: Up to £110,000 + Bonus We're working with an established, global financial technology business, they're hiring a DevOps Engineer to sit embedded within a software engineering team, owning automation, observability and platform reliability across a mixed on-prem and cloud environment - a genuinely differentiated setup in a market where most roles have gone all-in on public cloud. What you'll be doing: Designing and enhancing CI/CD pipelines using current industry best practiceBuilding dashboards and alerting to keep production and test environments running smoothlyOwning service reliability — investigating, resolving, and permanently fixing recurring issues rather than firefighting themWriting deployment automation with tools like Helm and AnsibleWorking hands-on with Kubernetes and Kafka as part of platform integration workCollaborating closely with development teams and stakeholders to automate their needs early in the delivery lifecycle What you'll bring: Solid hands-on experience (3+ years, 5+ for senior) across Python/shell scripting, Linux, containerisation (Docker/Podman), and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI or similar)A track record operating in production environments, with a strong grip on distributed systems and network troubleshootingComfort with Git branching models and configuration managementAn automation-first mindset Nice to have, not essential: Kubernetes and Kafka experienceExperience in a highly regulated environmentFamiliarity with no-downtime/blue-green deployment practicesiOS/mobile build tooling exposure (Xcode, Swift) If you are interested in the role, please apply directly or email jhayne@hunterbond.com
