About The Role Initially a 2-3 month contract, with flexibility offered to accommodate part or full-time candidates. The role is outside IR35, providing contractors with clear operational advantages. The successful candidate will serve as an Oracle Service Cloud Developer, responsible for supporting the development, configuration, and enhancement of Oracle Service Cloud solutions. This position requires a blend of technical development and system configuration skills to deliver scalable, efficient, and effective customer service solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in configuring Oracle Service Cloud platforms, creating custom fields and objects, and developing business processes aligned with organizational needs. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure solutions adhere to best practices and security standards. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or have equivalent commercial experience demonstrating proficiency in Oracle Service Cloud development. Certification in Oracle Service Cloud is highly desirable and will be considered an advantage. Additionally, candidates with certifications in related fields or relevant professional development will be preferred. Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and integration techniques will further enhance suitability for this role. Responsibilities Configure and administer Oracle Service Cloud (RightNow) applications to meet business requirements.Design, create, and maintain custom objects, fields, tables, and relationships to support customer service operations.Develop and configure business rules, workflows, and automation processes to streamline service delivery.Configure workspaces, reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.Support data management activities including data imports, exports, and integrity checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and translate them into effective technical solutions.Troubleshoot and resolve platform, configuration, and data issues promptly to minimize operational disruptions.Support integrations between Oracle Service Cloud and third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.Document technical designs, configuration settings, and development activities for future reference and compliance.Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing, and oversee production deployments to ensure quality and stability.Maintain adherence to Oracle best practices, security standards, and organizational policies throughout all activities.
