Senior Front-end Developer for GenAI

Join us as a Senior Front-end Developer in the District GenAI squad and help build the AI-powered products that are transforming how Danske Bank's corporate customers and employees work every day. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Front-end Developer to join the District GenAI squad, part of the Channels Corporates tribe at Danske Bank. District is our corporate banking product, and the District GenAI squad is responsible for the AI products built on top of it, from internal employee tooling to customer-facing features used directly within District. Right now, we are building AI-powered products on AWS using Amazon Bedrock, and we need someone who can craft the user-facing experiences that make these AI features intuitive, responsive and trustworthy for corporate customers and employees alike. What You Will Be Doing: As a Senior Front-end Developer, you will work hands-on building the interfaces and interaction patterns for our AI products, as part of a multi-discipline squad spanning backend, design and data science. Design and build responsive, accessible front-end applications and components that surface AI-powered features within DistrictDevelop UX patterns for AI-specific interactions such as streaming responses, conversational interfaces, citations/source transparency and human-in-the-loop reviewWrite high-quality code, review pull requests and troubleshoot hard technical problems across the front-end stackCollaborate closely with design, backend and data science to integrate AI/LLM features (RAG, agentic workflows) into a cohesive product experienceHelp ensure the products meet security, compliance and accessibility standards expected in a regulated bankCoordinate with engineering teams elsewhere in the tribe to ensure the products integrate reliably with core systems About You: We are looking for a Senior Developer with strong front-end technical depth who enjoys building hands-on and collaborating closely across disciplines, including with backend and data science on AI-powered features. Your background includes: Strong Front-end experience with React, Angular, Vue or similar, TypeScript and web application developmentExperience building production-grade GenAI applications, including chat, streaming, tool calling, RAG, file uploads and source citationsFamiliarity with agentic workflows and ADLC practices, including evaluation, observability, human review and safe releaseAbility to design trustworthy AI user experiences, including progress visibility, approval flows, failure states and uncertainty handlingExperience implementing human-in-the-loop controls for high-impact or state-changing actionsUnderstanding of GenAI security risks, including prompt injection, sensitive information exposure, authorisation, rate limiting and cost controlsExperience with LLM evaluation, feedback loops, tracing and error analysisAbility to collaborate with back-end, platform, data and ML teams on APIs, tool schemas and experimentsStrong product thinking and ability to simplify complex AI capabilities into reliable, accessible user interfacesFamiliarity with observability practices for monitoring AI workflows, latency, token usage, tool failures and user outcomes "Together, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse voices of our employees."
