Within the MYLAPS Innovation Centre, we look beyond today’s products. Our team (5FTE) explores, develops and validates new technologies for Active Sports, Motorsports and Horse Racing. We turn early-stage ideas into working prototypes, test them in real-world environments and determine which technologies can become part of the next generation of MYLAPS products. To strengthen this team, we are looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer who enjoys working at the forefront of product innovation. Your role As Electronics Engineer, you will work on new product development and innovation projects, including future generations of our timing transponders and related sports technology. You will take ownership of the electronics development within these projects: from concept and electronic architecture to PCB design, prototyping, testing and validation. This is a hands-on R&D position where you will have the chance to build prototypes, perform hardware bring-up, investigate technical challenges and test concepts in real-world environments. What you'll do Design and develop electronic hardware and PCBs for new MYLAPS products and technology concepts.Take electronics designs from initial concept through schematic design, PCB development, prototyping and validation.You work with internal and external production and technology partners to turn designs into prototypes and manufacturable solutions.Contribute to the electronic architecture and technical choices of new product concepts.Explore how new technologies can be applied within future MYLAPS solutions, including vision technology, AI-enabled solutions, advanced sensing and cloud-connected systems.Build, test and validate concepts in the field together with customers and internal specialists.Periodically travel internationally for testing, validation and collaboration with customers and partners. What you bring You are an experienced Electronics Engineer who enjoys working in an innovation environment where not every technical question already has an answer. You combine a strong electronics background with a pragmatic approach and are comfortable moving between design, prototyping, testing and technical problem-solving. A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field. A Bachelor's degree combined with strong relevant experience is also considered.Since this is a senior position, we do expect 7-10+ years of professional experience in electronics or hardware development.Strong experience with electronic circuit and PCB design with Cadence or Altium.Experience developing electronic products that use wireless technologies such as RF, Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi.Hands-on experience with prototyping, hardware bring-up, testing and debugging.The ability to make technical trade-offs and translate ideas into robust working solutions.An interest in emerging technologies and the curiosity to determine how they can be applied in real products.Strong communication skills in English; Dutch is an advantage.A willingness to travel internationally on a periodic basis.
