About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Web Application Developer (d/f/m) to join our dynamic Digital Operator Solutions team in Germany. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the digital transformation initiatives within Airbus Defence and Space. As a Senior Web Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications that support critical operational functions. You will serve as a key architect in shaping our cloud infrastructure and software platforms, ensuring they are aligned with future technological advancements. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency, security, and scalability of our digital ecosystems, enabling Airbus to maintain its competitive edge in aerospace innovation. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with proven experience in modern web development and cloud architecture. A deep understanding of TypeScript and Angular frameworks is essential, along with advanced knowledge of cloud-based solutions, particularly AWS services such as S3 and Load Balancers. Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is required, complemented by a solid grasp of event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka. Proficiency in NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB, and familiarity with ITIL and Agile methodologies are also necessary. Fluency in German is mandatory, and proficiency in English is advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Knowledge of German security and governmental requirements is highly desirable. Certifications in Kubernetes, experience managing offshore development teams, and automation of CI/CD pipelines are considered valuable additional qualifications. Responsibilities Lead the full lifecycle development of microservices-based web applications, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring alignment with business requirements and best practices.Define and evolve the company's IT architecture, including software design and infrastructure, to ensure scalability, security, and future-proofing of digital solutions.Apply ITIL best practices to manage IT services effectively, actively participating in incident, problem, change, and release management processes to maintain operational excellence.Manage relationships with external software development providers, acting as the technical point of contact to ensure deliverables meet quality and architectural standards.Implement and enforce strict security and compliance measures by adhering to security policies, secure coding practices, and configuration standards.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, performance, and developer productivity through technological upgrades and process optimizations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and tools, supporting digital transformation and innovation efforts.
