Within the MYLAPS Innovation Centre, we look beyond today’s products. Our team explores, develops and validates new technologies for Active Sports, Motorsports and Horse Racing. We turn early-stage ideas into working prototypes, test them in real-world environments and determine which technologies can become part of the next generation of MYLAPS products. To strengthen this team, we are looking for a Software / Firmware Engineer who enjoys working close to hardware and turning innovative concepts into reliable products. Your role As Software / Firmware Engineer, you will initially become part of our Product Innovation Team, where you will work on the further development of new MYLAPS products that are moving from innovation towards market introduction. You will develop and improve the software and firmware that connects our electronics, microcontrollers and product functionality. This means working close to the hardware, understanding how the complete system behaves and solving technical challenges. As the product matures, your role will broaden. Over time, you will also contribute to existing MYLAPS products together with our Project Engineering team, giving you the opportunity to work across both new product development and established products used by customers around the world. What you'll do Develop and improve software and firmware for new MYLAPS products and technology concepts and help bring a new product from the innovation phase towards a robust and market-ready solution.Develop software in C++, including low-level code.Develop software and firmware running on and communicating with microcontrollers.Work closely with Electronics Engineers and other specialists to integrate hardware and software into complete product solutions.Translate product and technical requirements into reliable software solutions.Test and validate software and firmware in both laboratory and real-world environments.Contribute to technical improvements, maintainability and reliability as concepts evolve into products.Over time, support the development and improvement of existing MYLAPS products within the Project Engineering team. What you bring You are a Software or Firmware Engineer who enjoys understanding how software and hardware work together. You like solving technical problems, experimenting with new technology and seeing the software you develop come to life in a physical product.
