Full Stack Developer (UI)

Position SummaryThe Full Stack Developer (UI) is responsible for delivering high-quality client reporting solutions on Janison's platforms, with a strong focus on front-end development in Angular. This is a fixed-term role through to 30 June 2027 within a program that uses AI to accelerate report delivery. You will finish AI-generated first-cut reports to production quality (UI, data visualisation, accessibility, performance and integration with Janison Insights data) and help improve the AI skills that produce them. You will work closely with Product, Operations and Development teams to clarify requirements, and hand your work over to the permanent team by the end of the contract. Duties and ResponsibilitiesReport & UI Development: Take AI-generated first-cut reports and finish them to production quality in Angular and TypeScript, covering layout, interactivity, data visualisation and responsive behaviour.Write production-ready, testable front-end code aligned with Janison's coding, accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), privacy and quality standards, flagging any change touching student PII for review.Build and extend reusable report components, styles and patterns so new reports can be assembled quickly and consistently.Work across the stack where needed, integrating reports with Insights data, back-end APIs (C#/.NET) and SQL queries, and resolving performance issues end to end.Support other Insights reporting products as priorities require.AI-Assisted Delivery: Review AI-generated code critically for correctness, security, accessibility and maintainability, identification and remediation of older Angular patterns, and remaining accountable for everything delivered.Improve the AI skills, prompts and templates that generate first-cut reports, reducing the rework each iteration needs.Requirements & Delivery: Work with Product and Operations to review and clarify reporting requirements, identifying gaps and edge cases early.Collaborate with the SCRUM team, committing to realistic work and communicating blockers, delays and risks before they require escalation.Work through the GitHub pull request workflow, including code review and GitHub Actions.Support, Team & Knowledge Transfer: Assist with diagnostics and troubleshooting of reporting issues, including during large-scale testing events, using Azure Application Insights.Review code and share effective front-end and AI-assisted development patterns with the team.Provide timely, clear updates to internal and external stakeholders, document your work and complete a structured handover before the end of the contract term.About YouEssential: Strong experience in modern Angular (v17+), including standalone components and signals (we use Angular 21), building complex, data-rich UIsExpert HTML, CSS/SCSS and modern JavaScript, including responsive and accessible (WCAG 2.2 AA) designExperience building reports, dashboards or data visualisations (e.g. charting libraries, D3 or similar)Proven experience using AI coding tools, and critically reviewing and refining AI-generated code to production qualityWorking knowledge of C#/.NET APIs and enterprise-grade SQL (SQL Server / Azure SQL)Experience with GitHub workflows, including pull requests, peer code review and GitHub ActionsEffective at working with Product and Operations to clarify and refine requirementsStrong problem-solving and communication skills, with a willingness to mentor and support othersEligibility: right to work in Australia; background checks as required by client programsDesirable: Experience authoring or improving AI prompts, agent skills or templates (e.g. Claude) to improve generated outputUnderstanding of Azure infrastructure and using Application Insights to troubleshoot production issuesFamiliarity with Janison Insights, or assessment and education reporting dataWhy Janison?We're proud of our fun, inclusive culture, and when you join us, you'll also enjoy: Employee Share Ownership Program: we match your share purchases up to $2,000 per yearBirthday leave: take your birthday off, on usVolunteer leave: a day each year to give back to a community organisation that matters to youReward and recognition: an annual pay review and bonus programConnected, inclusive culture: a strong focus on virtual engagement to bring our distributed, global team togetherReal career growth: genuine opportunities to develop and upskillNext StepsIf you want an organisation that will invest in your growth, give you the flexibility you need, and put your skills to work for a greater purpose, we'd love to hear from you.
