Technical Product Analyst

About this role As a Technical Product Analyst, you will perform deep systems and business analysis on a range of systems and business processes you own. You will shape technical solutions, present these to stakeholders, and work within a software development team to deliver these. This role sits within a small software product team focused on building and supporting new and existing capabilities that are core to our NDIS Plan Management business. The team is focused on transforming processes and modernising technology platforms that manage plan management, payment processing, budget management, and join processes. On a regular basis you will: Develop strong domain knowledge, including business processes and systems.Serve as the domain SME.Gather and document business processes for assigned applications and capabilities.Lead business and technical requirements discovery with stakeholders and delivery teams.Conduct technical analysis of APIs, systems, documentation, code, and complex SQL queries.Analyse stakeholder and system data to identify optimal solutions.Contribute to solution design with architects and engineers.Create and maintain technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Balance strategic investment with value delivery.Prioritise and maintain the team backlog with the Product Manager and team members.Manage minor incidents, including root cause analysis, stakeholder communication, and prevention recommendations.Facilitate Agile ceremonies across one or more development squads. About you You are a team player with strong technical and communication skills, enabling you to build effective and fruitful relationships within the software development team and across the organisation. You are motivated to deeply understand and solve problems and are able to drive initiatives through to completion. Additionally, you will have: 3 or more years working in a software development team2 or more years of business or systems analysis experience, or 2 or more years of experience as a software developerStrong technical skills, including experience writing code, using version control, using deployment toolsStrong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skillsA well-developed understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile work practicesThe ability to play a senior role within the product development team - i.e. acting as subject matter expert, leading initiatives, facilitating agile ceremonies and driving initiatives through development to deliveryStrong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent documentation skillsThe ability to work autonomously and be well organisedExperience working with NDIS plan managers, providers or coordinators.
