Senior Specialist – DevOps / Cloud Automation Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Remote Job Type: Permanent Experience: 8–14 Years Openings: 1 Job Summary We are seeking a Senior DevOps / Cloud Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, PowerShell/Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation. The ideal candidate will have an automation mindset and strong experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, provisioning cloud and on-prem infrastructure, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and supporting high-availability and disaster recovery environments. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated code integration, testing, and deployment.Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and/or Python.Work extensively with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, including pipelines, repositories, and artifacts.Integrate and consume REST APIs to build automation solutions.Implement CI/CD pipelines across cloud and on-premises environments and different technology frameworks.Provision and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, ARM Templates, Azure CLI, and Azure PowerShell.Develop automation solutions for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and operational processes.Troubleshoot complex scripting, pipeline, infrastructure, and deployment issues.Define and support Disaster Recovery (DR), backup/restore, and high-availability strategies.Monitor application and infrastructure performance and identify opportunities for improvement.Work with monitoring and observability tools such as ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to improve delivery and automation practices.Required Skills 8–14 years of IT/DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience.Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.Strong experience with Git and GitHub Actions.Advanced scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python.Strong experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.Hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.Experience with Kubernetes.Strong experience with REST API integration and automation.Experience with Azure CLI and Azure PowerShell.Experience with ARM Templates.Knowledge of cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.Experience with DR, backup/restore, and high-availability architectures.Exposure to ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.Preferred Qualifications Experience automating enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Experience supporting production environments.Knowledge of security and DevOps best practices.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement
