Role Summary The Senior Engineer serves as a technical leader responsible for the design, implementation, troubleshooting, optimization, and support of customer infrastructure and cloud environments. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to lead projects from planning through execution. The ideal candidate possesses advanced experience with Microsoft (M365, Azure, Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender) technologies while maintaining a strong understanding of infrastructure, security, networking, device management, identity management, and modern workplace solutions (AI). This individual will lead escalated troubleshooting efforts, guide architecture decisions, support strategic customer projects, and contribute to the development of best practices throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Serve as the highest level of technical escalation for complex customer issues.Lead root cause analysis and resolution of critical incidents.Advise on the Change Advisory Board (CAB), Security Committee Meetings, AI Committee Meetings for our customers. Design, implement, and optimize Microsoft Azure and infrastructure solutions. Understands how Microsoft eco system works and costs of storage or license decisions impact our customer's budgets. Provide guidance and technical mentorship to engineers and service desk staff.Establish and maintain engineering standards, processes, and best practices.Participate in technical strategy discussions, customer roadmap planning, and budgets.Microsoft Cloud Architect and support Microsoft 365 environments.Design and administer Microsoft Entra ID identity and access management solutions.Deploy and manage Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and security.Manage Microsoft Defender security solutions.Support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and related Microsoft services.Design Conditional Access, MFA, compliance policies, and Zero Trust security controls.Assist customers with cloud transformation, migrations, and modernization initiatives.Azure Infrastructure Design and maintain Azure cloud environments.Deploy and manage virtual machines, networking, storage, backups, and Azure services.Implement Azure governance, security, and cost optimization strategies.Support hybrid cloud and on-premises integrations.Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.Project Delivery Lead medium and large-scale customer projects. Generalist in every area of technology to collaborate with our partners and contractors on projects. Build Bill of Materials (BOM’s) and assist with scoping Statement’s of Work (SOW’s). Develop technical documentation, implementation plans, and project deliverables.Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and customer stakeholders.Participate in onboarding, infrastructure refreshes, migrations, and strategic initiatives.Customer Engagement Build trusted advisor relationships with customers.Present technical recommendations and solution designs to business and technical audiences.Assist account teams with technical assessments and solution development.Support customer business reviews and strategic planning sessions. Required Qualifications 8+ years of IT engineering experience.5+ years supporting Microsoft cloud technologies - Azure Only. Experience working within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment, IT Consulting or large multi-location organizations.
