Orka Socials is a fast-growing SEO and digital marketing agency serving clients across the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, and Singapore.
Alongside client work, we’re building our own software products and have ambitious plans for 2026 and beyond.
Role Overview
We’re looking for an Intermediate Full-Stack Developer to help build, test, and deploy our web and mobile applications.
You’ll work closely with the founder to turn product specs into working features, ship them to production, and keep them stable.
You’ll use AI coding tools as a normal part of your workflow to move quickly while keeping the code clean and secure.
What You’ll Work On
Web application: responsive, fast front-end features built on a shared backend and data layer.Mobile apps: iOS and Android apps built with React Native (Expo), including builds and releases to the App Store and Google Play.Backend and APIs: Node.js services and REST APIs that power both web and mobile.Database: PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and queries.Testing: automated tests for critical paths (auth, payments, data access) plus manual QA before each release.Deployment: CI/CD pipelines, cloud hosting, and release management across staging and production.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain features across the web app, mobile apps, and backend from agreed specs.Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, and fix bugs found in QA or production.Set up and maintain deployment pipelines, environments, and release processes.Implement authentication and role-based access following security best practices (input validation, secrets management, OWASP Top 10 basics).Integrate third-party services and APIs, including LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI) where the product needs them.Monitor apps using logging and error tracking, and respond to issues.Use agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) daily, and keep projects well structured with clear conventions, tests, and documentation.Share progress in short written updates and raise problems or trade-offs early.
Requirements
2–3 years of professional experience building web and/or mobile applications, or equivalent shipped work.Strong TypeScript and React skills; hands-on experience with React Native (Expo).Node.js backend experience and a solid understanding of REST API design.Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, migrations).Experience writing automated tests (Jest, Playwright, Detox, or similar).Experience deploying to cloud platforms (Vercel, AWS, Railway, Fly.io, or similar) and using CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions).Familiarity with authentication (OAuth 2.0 / JWT) and basic security practices.Comfortable with Git: branching, pull requests, and code review.Regular, hands-on use of at least one AI coding tool, and an understanding of where it goes wrong.
Nice to Have
Published an app to the App Store and/or Google Play.Experience with Supabase, Neon, or another managed Postgres.Stripe or similar payments integration (webhooks, subscriptions).Experience integrating LLM APIs (structured outputs, tool calling).Familiarity with Sentry, PostHog, or similar tools.Docker experience.
