Duties and responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer (Turbochargers) based in Southampton: Carry out the service, maintenance and repair of exhaust gas turbochargersWork on turbochargers installed on a wide range of vessels and land-based power plantsAttend global assignments, with travel expected for a significant proportion of the roleSupport workshop operations when not deployed in the fieldEnsure minimal downtime for customers by completing work efficiently and to a high standardWork on jobs that may require extended periods on-site to meet operational demandsUse measuring equipment to record and analyse data against expected tolerancesProduce clear and accurate service reportsWork independently and problem-solve in challenging environments Qualifications and requirements for the Field Service Engineer (Turbochargers) based in Southampton: Full UK Driving LicenceMinimum of 2 years experience in a marine engineering or similar engineering roleProven experience working on turbochargers manufactured by ABB / Accelleron / MAN Energy Solutions / MET (essential)Experience working on newer generation turbochargers (desirable)Strong mechanical and diagnostic skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible approach to work, including extended periods away from homeGood written and verbal communication skillsThis vacancy is being advertised by HSB Technical who have been appointed to act as the recruitment consultancy for this role.
