About the role Position Title: Consultant Reservoir Engineer Work Location: Kuwait Department: On-sync Energy Management Services Company. Job Responsibilities Provide expert advice on reservoir evaluation, characterization, and development strategies.Design, plan, and manage reservoir simulation and modelling studies.Build, maintain, and update dynamic reservoir simulation models and conduct history matching using production and pressure data.Develop production forecasts, including rate, cumulative production, and Estimated Ultimate Recovery (EUR), using simulation, decline-curve, and analytical methods.Monitor reservoir pressure, production trends, well performance, and recovery efficiency to identify optimization opportunities.Evaluate alternative Field Development Plan (FDP) scenarios and provide recommendations to optimize reservoir performance and project economics.Provide expert recommendations on reservoir development strategies, production optimization, and data acquisition programs, including well testing, PVT, and reservoir surveillance.Conduct economic evaluations, including NPV, IRR, breakeven analysis, and assessment of development alternatives.Perform risk and uncertainty assessments covering reservoir properties, production forecasts, recovery efficiency, and development scenarios.Integrate well logs, core data, petrophysical interpretation, pressure data, and production history into reservoir studies and models.Evaluate emerging reservoir engineering technologies, advanced testing methods, digital tools, and machine learning applications for reservoir evaluation and optimization.Develop and validate technical programs, including scope, resources, budgets, schedules, and execution requirements.Coordinate with E&P companies, technology providers, research institutions, and multidisciplinary technical teams to evaluate emerging technologies and potential technical or commercial opportunities.Prepare reservoir study reports, simulation results, development recommendations, and reserves reports in accordance with recognized industry standards such as PRMS and SEC guidelines.Translate complex reservoir and subsurface data into actionable technical and business recommendations to support management decision-making.Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and capability development to reservoir engineering professionals.Lead multidisciplinary reservoir studies and provide expert technical input on complex reservoir engineering challenges. Qualification Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Reservoir Engineering or a related engineering discipline; Master’s or PhD is preferred.Minimum 20 years of international Upstream Oil & Gas experience, with substantial experience in reservoir engineering and E&P activities.Extensive experience in reservoir evaluation, characterization, dynamic simulation, history matching, production forecasting, and field development planning.Strong expertise in reservoir simulation software and dynamic modelling workflows.Proven experience with production performance analysis, reservoir pressure monitoring, well performance evaluation, and recovery optimization.Strong knowledge of economic evaluation techniques, including NPV, IRR, breakeven analysis, and development scenario assessment.Demonstrated experience in risk and uncertainty analysis related to reservoir properties, production forecasts, and recovery efficiency.Strong ability to integrate well logs, core data, petrophysical interpretation, PVT, well testing, and reservoir surveillance data.Knowledge of emerging reservoir engineering technologies, advanced testing methods, digital tools, and machine learning applications is preferred.Experience preparing reservoir studies, simulation reports, and reserves estimates in accordance with PRMS and/or SEC standards.Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and work effectively with E&P companies, technology providers, and research institutions.Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, leadership, communication, organization, and decision-making skills.International experience with major or independent E&P companies and/or research institutions is preferred.Middle East experience is an advantage.
