🤖 We’re Hiring: AI Engineer Location: Jordan Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 3+ Years Apps Wave Information Technology is looking for an AI Engineer to join our technical team and build, integrate, and deploy AI solutions for real-world applications. This is a hands-on applied AI role covering both Computer Vision and Generative AI, with a strong focus on taking models from development into production and optimizing them for performance, reliability, and cost. 🔹 What You’ll Do Design, develop, train, and optimize computer vision models for detection, classification, tracking, and behavior analysis.Prepare and manage image/video datasets, including preprocessing, labeling, cleaning, and augmentation.Train, fine-tune, evaluate, and improve machine learning and deep learning models.Integrate AI models into backend services and production pipelines.Optimize model inference for latency, throughput, resource utilization, and cost.Build evaluation and monitoring processes to track model performance over time.Develop Generative AI and LLM-powered features, including prompting, structured outputs, tool/function calling, and model evaluation.Build agentic workflows that combine LLMs, tools, retrieval, and external systems.Design and maintain RAG pipelines, including embeddings, chunking, vector search, and context assembly.Fine-tune or adapt foundation models using approaches such as LoRA/QLoRA where appropriate.Optimize LLM inference through techniques such as caching, batching, quantization, model routing, and token optimization.Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teams to integrate AI capabilities into user-facing products.Document model performance, assumptions, limitations, and technical decisions. 🔹 What We’re Looking For Required: 3+ years of professional experience in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Applied AI, or Generative AI.Strong Python programming and software engineering skills.Solid understanding of computer vision and deep learning techniques.Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or a similar deep learning framework.Experience working with image/video datasets and ML data pipelines.Experience training, fine-tuning, and evaluating deep learning models.Experience integrating ML models into production systems or services.Hands-on experience building applications using LLMs, either API-based or self-hosted.Practical knowledge of prompt engineering, structured outputs, and tool/function calling.Experience with AI agents and multi-step orchestration.Working knowledge of embeddings, vector databases, and RAG.Understanding of evaluation methods for generative AI systems.Experience optimizing model inference for latency, throughput, and cost. 🔹 Preferred (Nice to Have) Experience with Docker and model deployment workflows.Exposure to MLOps, experiment tracking, model versioning, and monitoring.Experience with REST/gRPC APIs for model inference.Experience with multimodal AI, VLMs, OCR, or vision-language pipelines.Familiarity with vLLM, TGI, or similar LLM serving frameworks.Experience with LLM observability, tracing, prompt versioning, and cost monitoring.Knowledge of responsible AI practices, guardrails, and prompt injection risks.Experience with TensorRT, ONNX, ONNX Runtime, OpenVINO, or similar inference runtimes.Familiarity with GPU/CUDA acceleration and performance profiling.Experience deploying AI models on edge devices.Familiarity with GStreamer and NVIDIA DeepStream for camera/video processing. 🔹 What Success Looks Like You’ll contribute to AI solutions that are: Accurate and reliable in real-world environments.Efficiently integrated into production systems.Measurable through clear evaluation and monitoring.Optimized for performance, scalability, and cost.Continuously improved through experimentation and production feedback. 🚀 Why Join Apps Wave?
