Description

Boston Link is recruiting a Senior Java Developer for an iGaming technology company building a new real-time data platform. You’ll join a small team working on backend services that process player activity and transaction data, with a say in how the platform is designed. 📍 Malta – hybrid, 2 days per week in the office 💰 €70,000–€80,000 The role Build Java backend services and data-processing components for a real-time platform.Work with Kafka and event-driven systems to ingest and process data.Collaborate with the data team on pipelines and data models, using tools such as AWS, S3, Athena and Iceberg.Contribute to architecture and technical decisions.Write clean, maintainable code and thorough tests. What we’re looking for Strong Java experience, ideally Java 11 or later.Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.A good understanding of functional programming concepts, including immutability and composition.Experience building backend services from first principles.Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.Fluent English and eligibility to work in Malta.
