About The Role We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at GrabJobs. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud infrastructure that supports our fast-growing platform. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure our systems are resilient, secure, and optimized for performance. Your expertise will be critical in safeguarding our infrastructure against evolving security threats, managing complex deployments, and enhancing our automation practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the stability and security of our platform used by thousands of clients and millions of job seekers globally. The role is fully remote, suitable for candidates based in the mainland US or Canada, who are passionate about cloud infrastructure, security, and automation. Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of experience deploying and managing containerized applications within AWS environments.Extensive hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform.Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including firewalls, load balancers, DNS, VPC architecture, peering, and zero-trust network principles (experience with Tailscale is a plus).Proficiency in cloud security standards such as least-privilege IAM, secrets management, API security, audit logging, and vulnerability management.Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like CircleCI or GitHub Actions, along with containerization (Docker) and orchestration frameworks.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and respond to incidents effectively.Effective communication skills and experience working in a remote, distributed team environment. Nice To Haves Knowledge of legal and compliance frameworks such as SOC2, GDPR, etc.Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.Background in non-traditional pathways into software engineering, bringing diverse perspectives and insights. Responsibilities Own and continuously enhance our security posture, including access controls, secrets management, vulnerability assessments, and audit logging, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards.Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform, supporting millions of browser sessions daily with high reliability and performance.Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to assess infrastructure needs, conduct security reviews, and embed security best practices into developer tooling and CI/CD workflows.Participate in the engineering team’s on-call rotation, responding swiftly to incidents, performing root cause analysis, and implementing mitigation strategies to prevent future issues.Implement automation and monitoring solutions to improve system resilience, security, and operational efficiency.Stay updated with the latest security threats, cloud technologies, and industry best practices to proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
