The Role:
As a Nine Mile Software Engineer – Exchange Connectivity & Market Data, you will work at the core of our trading systems.
Responsibilities include:
Build and maintain low-latency connections to global trading venues covering both order gateways and market data feedsManage and coordinate connectivity with a variety of FIX brokers, managing projects from inception to deliveryManage exchange upgrade and onboarding projectsMonitor and analyse exchange-facing and market data components, suggesting and implementing optimisations for best trading outcomesWork flexibly across real-time production issues and longer-term infrastructure projectsPerformance tuning across both market data and order routing systems, maximising throughput and minimising latency
What you will bring:
Development experience in either Java or C++A scripting language, preferably PythonExperience working in a High Frequency Trading or low-latency trading environmentExperience working across both Windows and Linux environmentsStrong understanding of network protocols and market data distributionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGenuine interest in financial marketsStrong academic background in Computer Science or related fieldExposure to some or all of: ITCH, OUCH, FLEX, Arrowhead, JGATE, OMNET, FIX
