Managed Services Mantel Group’s dedicated Managed Services team provides support, engineering and maintenance across cloud, data and software engineer services for modern technology platforms. Our team is expanding our data managed services capability, and looking for a passionate Analytics Engineer to help build that area. The Analytics Engineer will work closely with Mantel Group’s Data team of 150+ data specialists to deliver, manage, support and continuously improve data solutions using a wide range of technologies, with the goal of transforming the way our clients experience data. About the role We are looking for an experienced data specialist to join our Managed Services team and help build our data managed services and support offering. Your day-to-day: Collaborate with clients to understand their data needs and provide technical solutions for data-related challengesTroubleshoot, maintain and enhance existing data platforms, ingestion pipelines, and data infrastructureDesign and implement solutions to improve data pipeline reliability and efficiencyImplement and maintain monitoring and alerting systemsDocument technical solutions, troubleshooting procedures, and best practicesParticipate in on-call rotation to provide emergency support for critical production issuesBe a point of escalation for high severity incidents as they occurLiaise with the managed services team, clients, technology partners and stakeholders to develop backlogs for continuous improvementUse professional judgement while treating colleagues and clients with respect and compassion, and a demonstrated ability to display our five Mantel principles What you’ll need to be successful: Prior experience in a hands-on data role - either as a Data Engineer or in related roles such as a Database Administrator (DBA)Experience in production support environments with established SLAsExperience working on a range of data technologies to manage data platforms and pipelinesCloud platform and infrastructure experienceClient-focused consulting skills, including the ability to understand client needs, translate business requirements into practical technical solutions, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, manage expectations and build trusted client relationshipsExposure to reporting and visualisation layers, using tools such as Power BI, Qlik, Tableau or equivalentNetworking skills relevant to data platforms and cloud environments, including connectivity, DNS, security groups/firewalls and troubleshootingData modelling experience across relational, dimensional/star-schema, data warehouse/lakehouse and/or NoSQL approachesProficiency in implementing, supporting and developing several of the following tools and technologies:Data lakehouse technologies (such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery or Synapse)DevOps / source control / orchestration tools (such as Git, Azure DevOps, dbt or Airflow)Languages (preferably SQL, with python being nice to have)Native cloud servicesPassion for "learning on the job" and being hands-on across a range of evolving data technologiesExcellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvementStrong attention to detail even while working across different clientsClear communication skills, both technical and non-technicalAbility to take ownership and use good judgement to achieve positive client outcomesAt Mantel, we want you to be yourself.
