As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you’ll be responsible for guiding and leading the architecture, delivery and development of the software systems that power our business unit. A hands-on, highly skilled software developer with the experience to dive into code to deliver high quality, well-designed software. You will share responsibility for the quality of the software being built, including but not limited to; achieving desired business outcomes, meeting reliability and performance expectations and safely managing security and data privacy concerns. You’ll Have 6+ years’ in a hands-on Software Engineering role Strong experience building high‑traffic customer facing web applications across frontend and backendProven backend experience using Java with modern frameworks (e.g. Spring / Spring Boot) to build scalable APIs and servicesExperience working with databases (e.g , PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, etc)Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript, with experience applying these skills across both UI representation and platform‑driven, rule‑based implementationsWorking knowledge of React.js and modern frontend patterns to support and evolve user experiencesSolid understanding of cloud‑native development on platforms such as AWS, including deployment, scaling, and operational considerationsExperience and confidence with CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions), version control (Git), and automated testing practicesExperience using observability and monitoring tools (e.g. Splunk, Datadog, or similar) to support production systemsA real passion for quality, clean code and continuous improvement A strong understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution design Highly dedicated ethos - expected to take very real accountability for the work you're doing Demonstrable ability to motivate self and others, and a passion to mentor junior developers Experience working with technical and non-technical partners, with the capability to influence A test and learn mindset with curiosity, collaboration and care Experience writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Edge Delivery Services desirable Why Qantas?
