Full Stack Developer

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our Brisbane team. In this role, you will join our Local Government team and help shape GUIDE for Residents, our intelligent digital experience for how residents access and complete council services. You will build modern cloud and mobile experiences across web, Android and iPhone using React, TypeScript and C#, alongside a high-performing, collaborative team. If you enjoy working on complex systems, writing clean and maintainable code, and using AI, coding agents to enhance your development workflow, this role offers a chance to do work that matters within a supportive and high-performing team. What you'll be doing: Build and maintain resident-facing mobile experiences for Android and iPhone, alongside responsive web experiences.Deliver mobile features using native or cross-platform technologies, with a strong understanding of Android and iOS platform conventions.Integrate mobile experiences with secure cloud services, APIs, authentication, notifications, and device capabilities.Build modern cloud-native solutions using React, TypeScript and C#.Design and develop intuitive user experiences that solve real customer problems.Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers and Engineers to deliver valuable product outcomes.Contribute to technical design, experimentation and proof-of-concepts.Contribute to mobile quality practices, including unit, integration, UI and device testing across supported Android and iOS versions.Develop and maintain automated tests, including UI automation using Playwright where appropriate.Champion quality through testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement.Apply resident-centred design principles to create simple, accessible and trustworthy experiences for diverse communities.Work across conversational, transactional and mobile journeys so residents can move seamlessly between channels without losing context.Develop deep product knowledge and contribute ideas that improve customer outcomes. Your Talents… A genuine passion for software development and agile ways of working, with the curiosity to take on new challenges.Experience using AI coding agents as part of the software development lifecycle, with an understanding of how to effectively leverage them to improve development outcomes.A focus on writing clean, high-quality code and continuously improving your craft.Hands-on experience developing and shipping mobile applications for Android and iOS (iPhone).Experience with modern mobile development technologies such as React Native, Kotlin, Swift, or equivalent cross-platform frameworks.Understanding mobile application architecture, secure API integration, authentication, push notifications, accessibility, and responsive design.Experience with mobile testing, release pipelines, app signing, and deployment through the Apple App Store and Google Play is highly desirable.Strong software development skills in C#, React, TypeScript/JavaScript and SQL.Experience building modern web applications and customer-facing digital experiences.Working knowledge of SQL and data-driven application development.Experience with AWS cloud technologies is desirable.Experience with automated testing practices, including UI automation using Playwright or similar frameworks, is highly desirable.Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.The ability to thrive working both independently and as part of a team.Confidence using tools such as Git, Rider, JIRA and Confluence.A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.Based in Brisbane, or willing and able to relocate to Brisbane for the role.
