IT Infrastructure Project Manager

MatchBox is seeking a Project Manager - IT Infrastructure for a 12 month contract for our New Westminster based public sector client. Project Manager – IT Infrastructure (12-Month Contract) Deliverables Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for standard project and program management deliverables and supporting documentation, based on our PMO's standard delivery methodology. These include, but are not limited to: Business Cases for assigned programs and projects, including the implementation phase work plan, budget, work breakdown structure (MS Project), project schedule, risk analysis, work package sequencing, and a high-level business case memoProject Initiation artifacts — Project Charter, Feasibility Study Definition Document, Project Configurator, and Organizational Change Management documentsA comprehensive, integrated project management plan consistent with PMI practices, including detailed Communication and Risk Management PlansMonthly Project Status Reports, filed in the organization's portfolio reporting systemTechnical and Steering Committee meeting documentation (presentations, review materials, minutes, supporting documentation, technical memos, etc.)Cash Flow Forecasts / Budget UpdatesProject RAID log (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions register)Deliverables from assigned projectsProject Change Requests, as requiredProject Closeout Reports Knowledge & Experience 5+ years of proven IT infrastructure experienceBachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science8+ years of full-cycle technology project management experience, ideally including IT infrastructure projects spanning conceptual design, requirements gathering, system design, build, test, training, and cutoverExperience managing projects with budgets over $2M and teams of more than 10 peopleExperience as a Project Manager in similar organizations in Canada is an assetStrong stakeholder management experience, with a proven ability to bring people togetherExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), including experience presenting to senior management and executivesA demonstrated sense of urgency and drive to get the job doneSolid experience managing risk, change, issues, time, scope, resources, budget, and qualityExperience managing complex contractsPMP designation is an asset but not mandatory; training and experience in best-practice project management techniques is expectedProven experience facilitating and managing consultation processes across diverse stakeholder groupsAbility to understand broader program goals and translate them into supporting project strategies and objectivesAbility to manage and coordinate activities and resources across interrelated program projectsExperience developing and implementing technology projects and process improvement initiativesExperience gathering and analyzing functional and technical requirements from business stakeholdersExperience leading interdisciplinary teams of technical and business resourcesExperience with or understanding of Organizational Change Management (OCM)Proficiency with standard MS Office tools, including Microsoft Project and SharePoint For more current job opportunities, Follow MatchBox at linkedin.com/company/matchbox-recruitment/ _________________________ About MatchBox Headquartered in downtown Vancouver and serving clients nationally, MatchBox is one of the leading recruitment and solutions firms that specializes in the fields of IT & Technology, Engineering & Technical, Real Estate & Construction, and Accounting & Finance.
