About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Web Developer to join our dynamic team in McLean, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites across multiple frameworks, with a particular emphasis on backend security and encryption. You will work independently and collaboratively to research innovative solutions, implement modern security protocols, and optimize website performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in web development principles, experience with various content management systems, and a passion for creating secure, high-quality digital platforms. Qualifications Proven experience in web design and development, with a solid understanding of internet principles and best practices.Hands-on experience with WordPress, including setting up hosting environments, installing, customizing, and extending functionality through plugins.Proficiency in CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and related web technologies.Experience in mitigating website vulnerabilities and implementing security measures to harden websites and cloud environments.Knowledge of modern encryption algorithms and their integration into web applications.Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, accessible content for non-technical audiences.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Responsibilities Research, design, and develop websites using various frameworks including WordPress, Joomla, Wix, Express.js, Next.js, and others.Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop content strategies, ensuring alignment with their business objectives.Create, update, and manage website content, including writing copy for websites and blogs tailored to various industries.Implement and maintain security protocols, including modern encryption algorithms, to protect websites and cloud environments from vulnerabilities.Monitor website performance, analyze traffic logs, and ensure the integrity and security of web traffic and analytics capabilities.Perform basic website traffic reviews and provide recommendations for optimization and security improvements.Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in web development and cybersecurity.Participate in website penetration testing and red teaming exercises to identify and address security weaknesses.
