Senior Java Backend Developer / Architect

What you'll do: — Develop new products and features for the company — Maintain and enhance existing applications and services — Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in production code — Perform initial testing and review of your own code — Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality — Refactor and optimize code for performance and maintainability — Contribute to the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for your services We're looking for someone who has: • 4+ years of experience with Java, Spring, and SQL • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns • Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs • Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries • Ability to understand, maintain, and refactor existing codebases • Experience working with relational databases; experience with Oracle is a plus. • Experience writing Oracle SQL queries is an advantage • Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito • Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or TeamCity • Basic experience working with Docker • Understanding of application performance, scalability, and optimization for high-load systems • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Nice to have: • Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL • Experience with Kubernetes • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, or similar) • Exposure to load testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
