Senior Frontend/UI Software Engineer (Quant Trading) Salary: $250k-350k Total compensation: ranging $400k-750k depending on performance and seniority A leading quantitative trading firm is hiring a Senior Frontend/UI Software Engineer to join a small, highly skilled engineering group that partners directly with business areas across the firm to solve their most pressing technical challenges. As part of Core Software, you'll build and optimize performant web applications that directly support trading and research workflows whilst working closely with researchers, quantitative developers, and platform engineers to architect solutions that are both technically elegant and business-critical. The work spans building new applications from the ground up as well as tearing down and redesigning existing systems that no longer hold up. What you'll do: Build high-performance web apps that directly support trading and research workflowsArchitect and build new applications from scratch, and redesign or rebuild existing systems where neededCollaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver end-to-end technical solutionsTroubleshoot, optimize, and maintain critical application components for reliability and high availabilityContribute back to core platform and tooling used firm-wide What we're looking for: 5+ years of professional experience as a Frontend/UI Engineer or in a related technical roleSignificant experience building React applications with TypeScript, from architecture through deploymentExperience working with agentic AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code)Exposure to deployment and infrastructure tools (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break complex technical problems into actionable itemsA collaborative, consultative approach - comfortable dropping into a challenge, delivering, and moving to the nextStrong written and oral communication skills; confident engaging senior stakeholders and the business This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering and the trading floor, with direct visibility into how your work drives business outcomes at a leading quant tradinf firm.
