Emerald Zebra on behalf of our client, a Cyprus registered technology company that develops an AI powered automated gold trading software product for MetaTrader 5, is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer with strong AWS expertise to be based in Limassol, Cyprus.
The company works with regulated broker infrastructure to provide automated trading functionality and risk management tools, and this role sits within the core product engineering team reporting to the Head of Engineering.
Location: Limassol, Cyprus.
Hybrid working from the Limassol office.
Engagement: Full time, as an employee or independent contractor depending on your location and applicable law.
Role Overview
You will manage, optimise and scale the company's cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, security and performance.
You will work closely with the development team to automate deployment pipelines and streamline software delivery for a live automated trading platform.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure on AWS.Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code to automate resource provisioning.Build, optimise and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless code releases.Set up robust monitoring, logging and alerting to proactively catch and resolve production issues.Implement AWS security best practices, manage IAM roles and ensure data encryption at rest and in transit.Monitor cloud spend and implement cost saving strategies such as right sizing instances and using spot instances.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 3+ years of hands on experience managing AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, Lambda).Experience setting up pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.Strong knowledge of Docker and container orchestration via AWS ECS or EKS (Kubernetes).Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash or Go for automation tasks.Deep understanding of Linux administration, networking concepts and security protocols.Experience managing and optimising MySQL or MariaDB relational databases.
Desirable
Active AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or SysOps Administrator certification.Experience with Ansible or Terraform.Familiarity with database management and SQL optimisation.
