Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Frontend Engineer to join our engineering team and help build the next generation of our user-centric web applications. In this role, you will take ownership of the frontend architecture, focusing on building a seamless, high-performance single-page application (SPA) using Angular. You will work within a sophisticated ecosystem that bridges modern microservices with robust legacy systems, ensuring that our users enjoy a lightning-fast and intuitive shopping experience. Responsibilities Lead the development and maintenance of high-quality, scalable web applications using Angular.Integrate frontend components with event-driven architectures, utilizing Apache Kafka and Avro schemas to ensure data consistency.Optimize application performance by leveraging Redis for session and cart-oriented caching.Implement and refine search experiences, including facets and autosuggest, using Algolia.Collaborate with backend teams to consume data from both modern PostgreSQL microservices and legacy Oracle catalogs via Kafka Connect (CDC).Maintain a rigorous CI/CD pipeline, managing Dockerized applications from development through to deployment via Jenkins and Ansible.Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to a GitFlow-inspired branching strategy to ensure high code quality and architectural integrity.Required Qualifications Deep expertise in building complex SPAs using the Angular framework.Strong understanding of event-driven architecture, specifically working with Apache Kafka and Schema Registry.Proficiency in integrating search solutions such as Algolia into frontend workflows.Experience working with containerization tools, including Docker and container orchestration platforms.Solid understanding of relational databases, including experience querying PostgreSQL and Oracle.Expertise in version control systems (Git/GitLab) and familiarity with PR-based workflows and GitFlow.Proven ability to work with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI, and deployment automation like Ansible.
