About The Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team at our Konstanz location. In this role, you will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and enhancing our virtualized infrastructure environments, specifically designed for software development within an air-gapped setting. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement robust CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows that ensure seamless integration and continuous deployment of software products. You will collaborate closely with software development teams and IT specialists to facilitate the integration of new technologies and software solutions, maintaining high standards of security and system integrity. Additionally, you will be tasked with creating comprehensive technical documentation and implementing security measures to safeguard sensitive data and infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a specialized environment that demands precision, innovation, and a strong understanding of modern DevOps practices. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a degree in computer science or a related field, or have equivalent professional experience in a DevOps environment. Practical knowledge of container technologies such as Docker is essential, along with experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies. Proficiency with CI/CD tools and platforms is required, as well as familiarity with collaboration platforms, version control systems, and development environments. Strong scripting skills in languages like Python and Bash are necessary, complemented by solid Linux system administration skills. Excellent communication skills in German, both spoken and written, are mandatory. The candidate should demonstrate a responsible and systematic approach to work, with strong analytical thinking, creativity, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain virtualized infrastructure environments tailored for software development in secure, air-gapped settings.Develop, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and GitOps processes to enable continuous integration, testing, and deployment of software solutions.Collaborate with software development teams and IT personnel to ensure smooth integration of new software, tools, and technologies into existing infrastructure.Implement and oversee security protocols and measures to protect infrastructure, data, and software assets against threats and vulnerabilities.Create, update, and maintain detailed technical documentation related to infrastructure architecture, processes, and operational procedures.Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular updates to ensure high availability and security standards.Participate in cross-functional teams to support project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
