Senior Software Engineer – Distributed Systems I'm currently working with a well-established organisation that is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a collaborative and technically focused engineering team. This is a broad software engineering position covering application development, distributed systems, cloud platforms and automation. You'll work on software, services and internal platforms that support teams across the organisation. What you'll be doing Design, develop and maintain applications, services and APIsBuild internal tools and web-based applicationsDevelop automation and engineering solutions across cloud and on-premise environmentsWork alongside infrastructure and platform teams to improve development and deployment processesBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment solutionsDevelop reliable, scalable and observable systemsCollaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholdersContribute to system architecture, technical design and engineering standardsTroubleshoot complex technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement What we're looking for 7+ years' software engineering experienceStrong development experience with Python, Golang or C++Experience working across cloud and on-premise environmentsStrong understanding of distributed systemsExperience working with relational databasesExperience with containers and container orchestrationStrong understanding of reliability, monitoring and observabilityExperience with CI/CD, automation and modern software development practicesStrong problem-solving and communication skills
