Senior .NET Developer

VALE Partners have been engaged by an international SaaS scale-up to help grow their Australian engineering team in Melbourne. The company has established strong product-market fit, their software is used by world leaders to produce their best work. This is a senior individual contributor role split between hands-on feature development and engineering process improvement, helping the team build lasting practices around agentic engineering practices. Role Overview Design, build, and maintain features across the full stack, working in React/TypeScript on the frontend and .NET Core on the backend within a microservices architecture on Azure.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing as part of a team that treats software quality as a first-class concern.Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions and ongoing codebase improvement in line with engineering best practices.Convert promising AI-assisted development experiments into secure, repeatable team practices.Release and monitor production software on a regular cadence, taking ownership of what you ship from development through to live. What You'll Ideally Have Experience working in a full stack capacity and comfortable moving between TypeScript frontends and .NET backends without losing momentum.Practical familiarity with concepts like adversarial reviews, self-refinement and actor-critic splits in the context of software engineering agents.A track record of writing well-tested code (both frontend and backend), contributing to CI/CD in cloud environments and helping to balance delivery velocity against maintainability.A collaborative approach to working and strong opinions about software engineering that you're interested in challenging and changing.
