Cloud Infrastructure / Network / Software & Kernel / Site Reliability Engineer

APPLY TO ONE OF THESE ROLES: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer / Network:Design, build and scale Tencent Cloud's underlying compute, network and data-center infrastructure supporting large-scale cloud services across regions and availability zones. • Design and deploy Tencent Cloud's physical and virtual network infrastructure across data centers, regions and edge locations. • Architect high-capacity data-center fabrics, backbone networks, VPC connectivity and global networks. • Engineer routing, switching, SDN, load balancing and network virtualization solutions. • Design resilient infrastructure supporting Tencent Cloud CVM, storage, database, Kubernetes and other cloud services. • Plan server, network and data-center capacity to support rapid workload growth. • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration and lifecycle management. • Optimize network latency, throughput, availability and cost. • Implement redundancy, fault isolation, disaster recovery and automated failover. • Troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues at hyperscale. • Collaborate with SRE, security, platform engineering and data-center operations teams Requirements: BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, SDN, EVPN/VXLAN, Linux, virtualization, Kubernetes networking, Python/Go, Terraform/Ansible, automation, data-center networking and distributed infrastructure.Relevant IT qualifications and industry certifications, depending on the resource profile.MANDATORY: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; AND Tencent Cloud Certified Professional (TCP) Solutions Architect, or equivalent-tier cloud network certification.PREFERRED / EXPERT ADVANTAGE: Tencent Cloud Certified Expert (TCCE) Solutions Architect OR Tencent Cloud Enterprise (TCE) Delivery Engineer - Network Product Certification. 2.Site Reliability Engineer Maintain the reliability, availability, scalability and performance of Tencent Cloud's production services and infrastructure. • Engineer Tencent Cloud services to achieve 99.99%+ availability targets, depending on the service SLA. • Operate and improve highly distributed production systems supporting large numbers of customers. • Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, error budgets and service health indicators. • Build monitoring, logging, tracing and automated alerting capabilities. • Detect and resolve live production incidents across compute, network, storage and database environments. • Lead incident response, root-cause analysis and post-mortem activities. • Develop self-healing and automated remediation mechanisms. • Automate repetitive operational activities and reduce engineering toil. • Perform capacity planning, performance optimization and resilience testing. • Design failover and disaster-recovery mechanisms. • Participate in production/on-call rotations for critical cloud services. • Work directly with Tencent Cloud product engineering teams to improve service reliability Requirements: Linux, Kubernetes, containers, Python/Go/C++, distributed systems, observability, automation, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, incident management and performance engineering.Relevant IT qualifications and industry certifications, depending on the resource profileMANDATORY: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field; AND Tencent Cloud Certified Professional (TCP) SysOps Engineer OR Tencent Cloud Certified Professional (TCP) DevOps Engineer.PREFERRED / SPECIALTY ADVANTAGE: Tencent Kubernetes Engine (TKE) Container Operations Specialist; Tencent Cloud Certified Associate or Professional (TCA/TCP) Cloud Security Engineer. 3.Software & Kernel Engineer Develop the core systems software powering Tencent Cloud's compute, database, storage, networking and virtualization platforms. • Develop core technologies supporting Tencent Cloud Virtual Machine (CVM). • Build and optimize virtualization, hypervisor and operating-system technologies. • Develop distributed database capabilities supporting platforms such as TencentDB/TDSQL. • Engineer large-scale storage platforms supporting services such as Cloud Object Storage (COS) and cloud block storage. • Develop Linux kernel components, drivers and low-level system software. • Optimize CPU, GPU, memory, storage and network I/O performance. • Develop technologies for workload isolation, resource scheduling and multi-tenancy. • Build distributed control-plane and data-plane components. • Improve hypervisor and VM startup, migration and runtime performance. • Diagnose kernel crashes, memory leaks, concurrency issues and low-level performance bottlenecks. • Develop high-performance systems primarily using C/C++, Go and other systems languages.
