Role & Responsibilities You'll be part of our experienced Software Engineering function, working in a cross-functional team, delivering and deploying critical software across a variety of business areas. Design and build software using industry best practiceCollaborate with stakeholders and other engineersContribute to the completion of milestones associated with your projectContribute to continuous improvement within your teamCollaborate with your peers on technical direction within your team Requirements/knowledge (you Don't Need Everything) Experience working in an Agile delivery teamJava development with Spring BootFront‑end development using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue)Building enterprise‑grade web applications or backend servicesCloud & DevOpsExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS or AzureContainerisation and orchestration using Docker and KubernetesInfrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible or equivalent)Data & IntegrationWorking with SQL and NoSQL data storesFamiliarity with structured and unstructured data conceptsMessaging / streaming systems (Kafka, AWS SQS, or other cloud-native queuing services)Experience with data visualisation tools or techniquesQuality & Engineering PracticesUnit testing and test automationUse of code repositories (Git), including branching strategies, pull‑request workflows, and merge processes We appreciate you may not be an expert in every area above - we can support with training and development in some areas!
