Lead .NET and React Developer

About the role Our client is undertaking a strategic technology transformation project to transition from an existing customer-facing platform to a more sustainable, cost-effective and future-ready digital solution. As part of the initial phase, they are seeking a skilled .NET / React Developer to contribute to the delivery of a proof-of-concept customer-facing transactional portal using .NET, React and Form.io. Key responsibilities Design and develop a proof-of-concept customer-facing transactional portal using .NET, React and Form.io.Develop scalable, maintainable and secure application components in line with established architecture and development standards.Design and implement integration patterns between the customer portal, Form.io and business systems using approved APIs and middleware services.Establish and configure the Azure-based development environment to support application development, testing and future deployments.Implement DevOps practices, including source control, automated build pipelines, automated testing and deployment processes.Implement appropriate authentication, authorisation and security controls to protect customer and organisational information.Develop reusable deployment and configuration artefacts to support future Test, UAT and Production environments.Work closely with architects, technical specialists and business stakeholders to validate and refine the target solution architecture.Participate in solution design reviews, code reviews, testing and knowledge transfer activities.Prepare technical documentation, architecture artefacts and deployment instructions.Identify technical risks, dependencies and opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations to support successful delivery.Contribute to an agile delivery environment through sprint planning, estimation, development and regular progress reporting.Support technical assessments and solution validation activities to inform future implementation and migration phases. Highly desirable criteria Strong commercial experience developing enterprise applications using .NET and React.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development.Experience working with Form.io or similar form-building and transactional portal technologies.Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations.Demonstrated experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Experience developing secure, scalable and cloud-native applications.Experience working within complex government or enterprise environments.Strong understanding of application security, identity and access management.Experience designing solutions for high transaction volumes and peak-load conditions, including performance, resilience, availability, monitoring and operational support. Desirable criteria Experience working within Queensland Government or other public sector environments.Experience with Azure DevOps and automated deployment processes.Experience with API gateways, middleware and enterprise integration patterns.Experience developing reusable infrastructure, configuration and deployment artefacts.Knowledge of cloud security and enterprise architecture principles.Experience supporting proof-of-concept initiatives and transitioning solutions into future delivery phases.Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline. Skills and experience Strong software development experience across C#, .NET and modern React applications.Demonstrated understanding of software architecture and application design principles.Strong experience developing and integrating APIs.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services.Experience with source control, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.Understanding of secure software development practices.Ability to develop solutions that are scalable, maintainable, reliable and supportable.Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Ability to work collaboratively within an agile delivery team.Strong documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities.
