Company Description StateTick is a software-defined machine control ecosystem that unifies building, testing, simulating, and running industrial machines in a single environment. The platform brings machine logic, industrial I/O, HMI, testing, diagnostics, and virtual commissioning together around a common machine application, eliminating fragmented engineering workflows. Users can build modular control logic, connect real industrial hardware, create operator interfaces, run automated tests, and inspect live machine states and signals, while using TwinTick for 3D simulation and virtual commissioning. The core idea is to build control once, validate it virtually, and then operate the real machine on the same platform. StateTick supports modern industrial connectivity standards including EtherCAT, OPC UA, Modbus TCP, and serial communication. Role Description The Senior Software Developer will design, implement, and maintain core components of StateTick’s machine control and simulation platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing robust back-end services, optimizing industrial connectivity modules, and integrating real-time data flows for I/O, diagnostics, and virtual commissioning. The role involves collaborating with product and engineering teams to define architecture, review code, ensure high-quality releases, and contribute to testing and performance tuning. This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Greater Schweinfurt Area, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions for industrial automation customers. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.Minimum 7 years of C++ experienceProficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building complex, production-grade systems.Hands-on expertise in Back-End Web Development, focusing on APIs, microservices, and scalable server-side applications.Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and related design patterns.Experience with industrial automation, control systems, or real-time applications is highly beneficial.Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, OPC UA, Modbus TCP, serial) is a strong plus.Ability to write clean, maintainable code, conduct thorough code reviews, and collaborate effectively in an agile team environment.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
