Employment Type Permanent Job Description Software Developer Our payment ecosystem spans 13 critical sub-domains and ships around 2,400 merged PRs every year. We need a backend developer who wants to own the checkout engine end to end, not just clear tickets. What You'll Be Doing You will join our dedicated Payment team to design, scale, and secure the transaction engines that power global travel checkout experiences. Day to day, you will build features across specialized sub-domains like 3DS cardholder authentication, authorization, tokenization, and refunds in tight collaboration with product, design, and QA partners. We re-engineer our delivery workflows around AI assistance so code production, testing, and delivery happen faster without sacrificing system reliability. You will also author technical proposals, maintain payment gateways, and troubleshoot high-stakes production issues alongside operations. The Stack Java (SpringBoot) AWS React (TypeScript) JUnit Mockito CI/CD What You Bring You build scalable backend systems and robust APIs with clean code, deep computer science fundamentals, and strong data structure design.You hold a high standard for software quality, using solid test pyramids and CI/CD feedback loops to ship reliable features fast.You communicate complex technical concepts with ease, making architecture clear to designers, support staff, and fellow developers.You have structurally elevated how your team works with AI, creating shared systems and raising the bar for delivery speed and code reliability around you.You possess a practical understanding or keen interest in payment gateways, credit card processing flows, and PCI compliance requirements.
